Job Description

The Workshop Manager is responsible for managing workshop operations and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality vehicle repair and maintenance services.
The role oversees technicians, workshop capacity, repair quality, equipment utilization, and operational performance.
The manager works closely with service advisors and parts teams to ensure vehicles are repaired within agreed timelines and standards.
The position combines technical knowledge with people management, planning, customer service, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily workshop operations and workflow.
Allocate repair and maintenance jobs to appropriate technicians.
Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and capacity.
Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer and company standards.
Review complex technical problems and support diagnostic activities.
Monitor repair quality and reduce repeat repairs.
Coordinate with service advisors regarding job progress and delivery times.
Ensure workshop equipment and tools are properly maintained.
Manage technician performance, training, and development.
Enforce workplace health and safety procedures.
Monitor workshop costs and operational KPIs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
