HSSE Manager

Job Description

The HSSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving health, safety, security, and environmental standards across business operations. The role provides leadership and expert guidance to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, company requirements, and industry best practices. The manager works with employees, contractors, and operational teams to strengthen safety culture and manage operational risks. The position also leads HSSE performance monitoring, incident management, audits, and improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HSSE strategies, policies, procedures, and improvement programs.
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
Provide professional HSSE advice and guidance to business and operational leaders.
Identify operational hazards and assess risks associated with facilities, equipment, and activities.
Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and other HSSE events.
Develop corrective and preventive action plans and monitor their effective implementation.
Conduct HSSE audits, inspections, assessments, and compliance reviews.
Monitor HSSE performance indicators and prepare management reports.
Promote safety leadership and strengthen HSSE awareness among employees and contractors.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, response, and business continuity activities where applicable.
Manage environmental compliance programs, including waste, emissions, spill prevention, and resource management.
Support contractor HSSE management and ensure appropriate safety standards are maintained.
Deliver HSSE training, awareness sessions, and safety campaigns.
