Process Engineer – Refinery

Job Description

The Process Engineer – Refinery is responsible for optimizing refinery processes to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and production performance. The role involves analyzing process data, identifying operational improvements, and supporting refinery units with technical expertise. The engineer works closely with operations, maintenance, HSE, and technical teams to resolve process-related issues. The position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, energy efficiency, and compliance with refinery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and optimize refinery process performance, production rates, and operating conditions.
Analyze process data to identify bottlenecks, losses, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop process simulations, calculations, and technical evaluations for refinery operations.
Provide technical support to operations teams during process deviations and troubleshooting activities.
Recommend improvements to equipment, operating procedures, and process control strategies.
Support energy-efficiency and emissions-reduction initiatives across refinery operations.
Participate in process safety reviews, HAZOP studies, and management-of-change activities.
Prepare technical reports, performance analyses, and recommendations for management.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment reliability and process improvements.
Ensure refinery processes comply with applicable safety, environmental, and operational standards.
