Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of refinery and industrial equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and maintenance improvement programs. The engineer works closely with operations, technicians, contractors, and engineering teams to minimize equipment failures and production interruptions. The position also supports maintenance planning and compliance with company engineering and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Monitor equipment condition and investigate recurring mechanical or technical failures.
Provide engineering support for pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, and other refinery assets.
Analyze equipment failure data and recommend reliability improvements.
Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and contractors.
Support shutdown, turnaround, inspection, and major maintenance projects.
Review technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and engineering documentation.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Monitor maintenance costs, schedules, equipment performance, and reliability indicators.
Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
