Duty Medical Officer (DMO)

Job Description

Saviour Hospital is seeking a dedicated Duty Medical Officer (DMO) to provide high-quality medical care to patients across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient departments. The DMO will assess, diagnose, and initiate treatment while collaborating with specialists and nursing staff. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare. The candidate must be willing to work rotational shifts, including weekends and emergency duty schedules.

Key Responsibilities
Examine patients and provide accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical care situations.
Monitor admitted patients and review treatment progress.
Coordinate with consultants for specialized patient care.
Prescribe medications and order diagnostic investigations.
Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and healthcare regulations.
Educate patients and their families regarding treatment and preventive care.
