EHS Specialist (Gas Plant Safety)

Job Description

Qatargas is seeking an EHS Specialist (Gas Plant Safety) to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across gas processing facilities. The specialist is responsible for implementing HSE programs, conducting risk assessments, and supporting incident prevention initiatives. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and contractor personnel, the role helps maintain safe working environments and regulatory compliance. The position contributes to continuous improvement of safety performance while supporting the company’s operational excellence objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and compliance assessments.
Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions while recommending corrective actions.
Deliver HSE induction programs and safety awareness training for employees and contractors.
Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems, confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
Ensure environmental compliance including waste management and pollution prevention.
Prepare HSE reports, performance metrics, and regulatory documentation for management review.
