Solar Project Development Manager

Job Description

The Solar Project Development Manager is responsible for leading the planning, development, and execution of utility-scale solar energy projects from concept through financial close and construction readiness. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, government authorities, consultants, contractors, and investors to ensure successful project delivery. The manager oversees project feasibility, permitting, land acquisition, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires strong leadership, project management, and renewable energy expertise.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of utility-scale solar projects.
Conduct technical, commercial, and financial feasibility assessments.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and development milestones.
Coordinate land acquisition and permitting activities.
Engage with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
Manage consultants, EPC partners, and external stakeholders.
Prepare project risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Support contract negotiations and investment approvals.
Ensure compliance with environmental and legal regulations.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
