Health & Safety Officer

Job Description

The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for promoting a safe and compliant working environment across aerospace manufacturing and operational facilities. The role monitors workplace risks, supports safety programs, and ensures employees follow established health and safety procedures. The officer conducts inspections, risk assessments, and safety investigations while supporting corrective actions. The position works with management and employees to strengthen safety awareness and prevent workplace incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
Identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
Develop and deliver workplace safety training and awareness programs.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Maintain safety records, reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
Monitor the correct use of personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and response procedures.
Work with production and maintenance teams to address operational safety risks.
Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement.
