HSE Advisor

Job Description

The HSE Advisor supports the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, security, and environmental standards across Shell operations. The role provides specialist advice to employees, contractors, and management on safe working practices and regulatory requirements. The position monitors workplace activities, conducts inspections, and supports incident prevention and investigation. The HSE Advisor also promotes a strong safety culture through training, communication, and continuous improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide HSE advice and guidance to operational and project teams.
Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
Support incident, near-miss, and accident investigations and follow up corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with company HSE standards and applicable German regulations.
Develop and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and campaigns.
Review contractor HSE performance and support contractor management activities.
Assist with emergency preparedness, response planning, and emergency drills.
Maintain HSE documentation, records, reports, and performance indicators.
Identify hazards and recommend practical measures to eliminate or reduce risks.
Support environmental initiatives involving emissions, waste, energy, and pollution prevention.
