The role combines pressure, production, geological and simulation data to understand reservoir behavior and forecast future performance. The engineer contributes to field-development planning, reserves evaluation and production optimization. Collaboration with geologists, petroleum engineers and production teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze reservoir pressure, production and fluid-performance data.
Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models.
Perform material-balance and reservoir-performance studies.
Forecast production and estimate recoverable hydrocarbon volumes.
Support field-development and reservoir-management plans.
Evaluate water injection, gas injection and pressure-maintenance strategies.
Conduct history matching and sensitivity analysis.
Identify opportunities to improve recovery factors.
Collaborate with geologists and production engineers on integrated studies.
Prepare technical recommendations for asset-management and investment decisions.
