Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor manages day-to-day manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and according to required quality standards. The role coordinates production personnel, equipment, materials, and work schedules. The supervisor monitors operational performance and works with engineering, quality, maintenance, and planning teams to resolve production issues. The position also plays a key role in employee development, productivity improvement, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily production activities and ensure achievement of planned output.
Allocate manpower, equipment, and production resources according to operational requirements.
Monitor production quality, productivity, efficiency, and delivery performance.
Ensure employees follow approved work instructions and safety procedures.
Investigate production delays, quality problems, and operational bottlenecks.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment breakdowns.
Work with quality teams to prevent defects and maintain required product standards.
Train, coach, and develop production employees and operators.
Maintain production records, shift reports, and performance documentation.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
