Production Manager

Job Description

The Production Manager is responsible for managing manufacturing operations and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and consistently.
The role oversees production teams, resources, equipment, schedules, and operational performance.
The manager works with engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and planning teams to maintain smooth production flow.
The position focuses on productivity, operational excellence, quality improvement, cost control, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage day-to-day manufacturing activities.
Ensure production schedules and output targets are achieved within required timelines.
Monitor production performance, efficiency, capacity, and operational KPIs.
Manage production personnel, shift schedules, workload distribution, and workforce requirements.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective improvement measures.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Work with quality teams to reduce defects, rework, and production losses.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage production costs and optimize the use of materials, equipment, and labor.
Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance management.
