Cybersecurity Specialist
Job Description
The Cybersecurity Specialist helps protect Rightmove’s systems, applications, infrastructure, networks, and information assets from cyber threats. The role supports security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and implementation of security controls. The specialist works with technology and business teams to identify and reduce security risks across the organisation. The position requires strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, security technologies, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor systems and security environments for potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Investigate security alerts, incidents, and suspicious activities.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
Implement and maintain appropriate security controls and procedures.
Support incident response, investigation, containment, and recovery activities.
Assist with security assessments of applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
Maintain security documentation, policies, standards, and operational procedures.
Work with IT and development teams to implement secure-by-design practices.
Support security awareness and cybersecurity training initiatives.
Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend appropriate defensive measures.
