Electrical Panel Wiring Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Panel Wiring Technician is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and electrical standards. The role involves installing electrical components, ensuring proper cable routing, and maintaining high-quality workmanship throughout the production process. The technician collaborates with engineers and quality inspectors to ensure panels meet customer specifications. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strict adherence to workplace safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts accurately.
Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to design specifications.
Install electrical components such as relays, contactors, PLCs, MCCBs, and terminal blocks.
Perform continuity and insulation resistance checks before testing.
Identify and rectify wiring defects during assembly.
Ensure all wiring complies with applicable electrical standards and company quality requirements.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean production workspace.
Coordinate with production engineers and QA teams to resolve technical issues.
Follow workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Record completed work and report production progress to supervisors
