Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished steel products to ensure they meet defined quality requirements.
The role involves conducting dimensional, visual, and other applicable quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
The inspector works with production and quality teams to identify deviations and prevent non-conforming products from reaching customers.
The position also maintains inspection records and supports corrective actions and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished steel products according to specifications.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring instruments.
Verify product characteristics against approved technical specifications and quality standards.
Identify, document, and report non-conforming products and production deviations.
Collect samples and coordinate required laboratory or technical testing.
Maintain accurate inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
Work with production teams to investigate quality problems and identify root causes.
Monitor corrective and preventive actions related to identified quality issues.
Verify calibration status and proper use of inspection and measuring equipment.
Support internal quality audits and continuous improvement activities.
