I&C Technician

Job Description

The Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems across Petrofac’s oil and gas facilities. The role ensures reliable operation of process control equipment while minimizing downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance. The technician supports commissioning, shutdown, and maintenance activities while following international safety and quality standards. Strong analytical skills and experience with industrial automation systems are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments and control equipment.
Troubleshoot instrumentation faults and restore equipment functionality.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
Inspect pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records.
Support commissioning and startup activities for new facilities.
Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
Coordinate with operations teams to minimize production interruptions.
Replace defective instruments and recommend equipment improvements.
Participate in plant shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities.
