Job Description
The Geoscientist/Geologist evaluates geological formations and subsurface data to identify and assess oil and gas resources.
The role integrates geological, geophysical, well-log, core, and seismic information to develop reliable subsurface interpretations.
The professional supports exploration, appraisal, field development, and reservoir characterization activities.
The position works with petroleum engineers, geophysicists, drilling engineers, and reservoir teams to support sound development decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret geological, geophysical, seismic, well-log, and core data.
Develop geological models and interpretations of subsurface formations.
Evaluate potential hydrocarbon-bearing structures and reservoirs.
Support exploration, appraisal, and field development studies.
Analyze well data and provide geological input to well planning and drilling decisions.
Correlate well logs and evaluate reservoir continuity and geological characteristics.
Participate in reservoir characterization and integrated subsurface studies.
Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, technical reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling teams.
Maintain accurate geological databases and ensure technical interpretations are properly documented.
