Geologist/Geoscientist
Job Description
The Geologist/Geoscientist supports exploration, appraisal and development activities through geological and geophysical interpretation. The position integrates subsurface information to understand reservoir architecture, identify hydrocarbon opportunities and reduce geological uncertainty. The role works closely with reservoir engineers, drilling engineers and other subsurface specialists. Strong knowledge of geological modelling, seismic interpretation and petroleum systems is valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret geological, seismic, well-log and core data.
Develop and maintain geological models for oil and gas reservoirs.
Evaluate prospects, leads and potential hydrocarbon accumulations.
Conduct well correlation and stratigraphic interpretation.
Integrate geological and geophysical datasets for subsurface evaluation.
Support exploration and appraisal well planning.
Assess reservoir quality, structure, facies and depositional environments.
Collaborate with reservoir engineers on integrated subsurface studies.
Contribute to uncertainty assessment and volumetric estimation.
Prepare geological reports, maps, interpretations and technical presentations.
