Job Description

The CAD Draftsman (Mold Design) prepares detailed engineering drawings and 3D models for die casting molds and tooling using CAD software. The role supports product development by creating accurate technical documentation for manufacturing and tooling teams. The draftsman collaborates closely with design engineers to optimize mold performance, manufacturability, and production efficiency. Strong proficiency in CAD software and mechanical drafting principles is required.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of die casting molds.
Modify mold designs based on engineering change requests.
Ensure drawings comply with company and industry drafting standards.
Collaborate with design engineers during mold development.
Generate manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain CAD files, revisions, and engineering documentation.
Support tooling and production teams with technical drawings.
Verify drawing accuracy before release for manufacturing.
Assist in improving mold designs for better production efficiency.
Stay updated with CAD software enhancements and drafting best practices.
