Automation Engineer

Job Description

The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving automated manufacturing and industrial systems. The role supports automation equipment, control systems, robotics, PLCs, sensors, and related technologies used in production environments. The engineer works with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and process consistency. The position also participates in automation projects, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and improve industrial automation systems.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and control systems.
Diagnose automation equipment failures and implement corrective solutions.
Support installation, commissioning, and testing of automated machinery.
Improve production processes through automation and digital technologies.
Work with mechanical and electrical engineering teams on automation projects.
Develop and maintain automation documentation, programs, and technical specifications.
Monitor automated equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Support preventive maintenance strategies for automation and control equipment.
Ensure automation solutions comply with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
