Job Description

Galfar Engineering is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and ensure financial efficiency across engineering and construction projects. The role involves preparing estimates, monitoring budgets, evaluating contractor claims, and ensuring contractual compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and negotiation skills while working closely with project managers and clients. This position plays a critical role in maximizing project profitability and maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate pricing.
Prepare interim valuations and final project accounts.
Review contract terms and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Assess and process variation orders and claims.
Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams.
Generate regular cost reports and financial forecasts.
Maintain accurate quantity surveying documentation.
Support project planning with commercial and contractual advice.
