Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Job Description

The Cloud / DevOps Engineer at Fluxys Belgium is responsible for developing and maintaining reliable, automated, and scalable technology environments. The role combines cloud infrastructure, automation, deployment, monitoring, and software delivery practices to improve the efficiency and reliability of IT services. The engineer works closely with software developers, architects, security specialists, and infrastructure teams to establish effective CI/CD and infrastructure automation practices. The position also contributes to cloud adoption, system resilience, security, and continuous optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and enterprise technology environments.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and automated software delivery.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational processes.
Manage and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management practices.
Monitor applications, infrastructure, availability, performance, and operational health.
Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, networking, and application environment issues.
Collaborate with developers to improve application deployment and release processes.
Apply appropriate cloud security, access-control, backup, and resilience practices.
Document infrastructure architectures, procedures, configurations, and operational processes.
