Instrumentation & Control Engineer
Job Description
The Instrumentation & Control Engineer is responsible for the reliability and performance of instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
The role supports process control systems used across oil and gas production facilities and associated operations.
The engineer provides technical expertise for troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and engineering projects.
The position works closely with electrical, process, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain safe and efficient plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
Support DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and safety instrumented systems.
Develop and review instrument specifications, datasheets, and engineering drawings.
Diagnose control system and instrumentation failures.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Support control system modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects.
Verify instrument calibration and performance against required standards.
Participate in commissioning and startup activities for new facilities.
Ensure control systems comply with applicable technical and safety standards.
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
