R&D Engineer

Job Description

The R&D Engineer will contribute to the development of innovative technologies, machinery, products, and solutions for Bühler’s industrial processing applications. The role involves researching technical concepts, developing prototypes, conducting experiments, and validating new designs. The engineer will work with multidisciplinary teams to transform technical ideas into reliable and commercially viable solutions. The position also supports product improvement, testing, documentation, and technology innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and develop new mechanical, process, or technology solutions.
Design and develop prototypes, components, and experimental systems.
Conduct laboratory, simulation, and performance testing.
Analyze test results and recommend design or process improvements.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, process, and manufacturing engineers.
Investigate new technologies, materials, and engineering methods.
Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and development reports.
Support prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation activities.
Identify opportunities for improving existing products and technologies.
Troubleshoot technical issues during development and testing.
Ensure developed solutions meet performance, quality, safety, and reliability requirements.
Contribute to innovation projects and continuous product development.
