Petroleum Engineer
Job Description
The Petroleum Engineer is responsible for supporting the evaluation, development, and optimization of oil and gas resources across BP Europa SE operations. The role involves analyzing reservoir and production data to improve field performance and recovery. The engineer works closely with geoscientists, drilling teams, production engineers, and other technical specialists. The position also contributes to safe, efficient, and economically viable petroleum operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze reservoir, production, and well-performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
Support reservoir modeling, forecasting, and field-development planning activities.
Evaluate well performance and recommend production enhancement strategies.
Assist with well planning, completion, stimulation, and intervention programs.
Monitor production trends and investigate causes of underperformance.
Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and production teams.
Prepare technical reports, production forecasts, and engineering recommendations.
Apply industry standards and engineering best practices to petroleum operations.
Support economic evaluations of field-development and production projects.
Ensure engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
