Petroleum Engineer
Job Description
The Petroleum Engineer will support the technical evaluation and optimization of hydrocarbon-related processes, feedstocks, and production systems.
The role involves applying engineering principles, production data, and analytical methods to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
The engineer will collaborate with process, production, maintenance, and technical teams to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
The position also contributes to technical studies, troubleshooting, risk reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives within Borealis operations.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze production and process data to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
Support evaluation of hydrocarbon feedstocks and their impact on plant operations.
Develop engineering calculations, technical studies, and production forecasts.
Investigate production constraints and recommend technically appropriate solutions.
Work with process engineers to optimize operating conditions and plant performance.
Support technical evaluations related to equipment capacity, reliability, and process efficiency.
Participate in root-cause investigations of production and process problems.
Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and presentations for engineering and management teams.
Support investment and improvement projects involving production facilities.
Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, and operational standards.
