Travel Consultant

Job Description

The Travel Consultant is responsible for assisting customers with planning and arranging business and leisure travel experiences. The role involves understanding customer preferences, recommending suitable flights, destinations, accommodation, and travel services. The consultant provides accurate information on schedules, fares, travel policies, and destination requirements. The position also focuses on delivering personalized service while supporting customer satisfaction and travel sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Consult with customers to understand their travel requirements, preferences, and budgets.
Recommend suitable flights, destinations, hotels, packages, and other travel services.
Make and manage flight, hotel, and travel-service reservations.
Provide accurate information regarding fares, schedules, baggage, and travel policies.
Assist customers with itinerary changes, cancellations, rebookings, and travel disruptions.
Maintain accurate customer and booking information in reservation systems.
Identify opportunities to recommend additional travel services and relevant upgrades.
Resolve customer concerns professionally and coordinate with internal teams when required.
Stay informed about destinations, travel regulations, airline policies, and tourism products.
Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the travel-planning process.
