Plant Connectivity & Network Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

The Plant Connectivity & Network Infrastructure Engineer manages industrial communication networks supporting automation and smart manufacturing environments. This role designs secure and reliable network architectures connecting PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and industrial IoT devices. The engineer ensures high system availability, cybersecurity, and seamless data communication across production facilities. The position also supports network troubleshooting, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design industrial Ethernet and OT network infrastructure.
Configure switches, routers, firewalls, and industrial communication devices.
Support connectivity between PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and cloud platforms.
Monitor network performance and resolve communication issues.
Implement industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices.
Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and asset inventories.
Perform network testing, validation, and system optimization.
Collaborate with automation and IT teams on integration projects.
Support disaster recovery planning and backup solutions.
Ensure high network availability for uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
