Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Specialist at Fluxys Belgium helps protect the organization’s information systems, applications, infrastructure, and operational technology against cyber threats. The role contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls across the technology environment. The specialist monitors security risks, investigates potential incidents, and works with technical teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture. The position also supports security awareness, vulnerability management, compliance, and incident-response activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess cybersecurity risks across IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation activities with relevant technical teams.
Investigate security alerts, suspicious activities, and potential cybersecurity incidents.
Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls and technologies.
Conduct security assessments and contribute to risk analysis activities.
Assist with incident response, investigation, containment, and recovery procedures.
Monitor compliance with internal security policies and applicable cybersecurity requirements.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and operational technology teams.
Maintain cybersecurity documentation, procedures, risk registers, and incident records.
Promote security awareness and recommend improvements to organizational security practices.
