HSE Manager

Job Description

The HSE Manager will lead health, safety, environmental, and process-safety activities across relevant Borealis operations.
The role is responsible for developing a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, company standards, and operational requirements.
The manager will work with engineering, production, maintenance, and project teams to identify hazards and reduce operational risks.
The position will also drive continuous improvement through audits, incident investigations, training, performance monitoring, and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, procedures, and improvement programs.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations.
Lead workplace inspections, HSE audits, and compliance assessments.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and establish corrective actions.
Conduct and facilitate risk assessments, HAZOPs, and other safety studies.
Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare management reports.
Develop and deliver safety awareness and competency-training programs.
Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and emergency drills.
Work with project teams to incorporate HSE requirements into engineering and construction activities.
Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across operational teams.
