The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for accurately posting insurance and patient payments into the medical billing system while maintaining financial accuracy. The role ensures all transactions are properly reconciled and discrepancies are identified promptly. Candidates should have excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records within the revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities
Post insurance and patient payments into billing software.
Reconcile electronic remittance advice (ERA) and EOB statements.
Verify payment accuracy against submitted claims.
Identify and report payment discrepancies.
Process adjustments, write-offs, and refunds as required.
Maintain accurate financial transaction records.
Coordinate with billing teams to resolve payment issues.
Ensure timely completion of daily payment posting activities.
Follow healthcare compliance and confidentiality standards.
Prepare payment reconciliation reports for management.
