Job Description

The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Superintendent is responsible for implementing Petrofac’s health, safety, and environmental management systems across project sites. The role promotes a proactive safety culture by ensuring compliance with legal regulations, client requirements, and international HSE standards. The superintendent leads safety initiatives, conducts inspections, and investigates incidents to prevent workplace accidents. Strong leadership and extensive experience in oil & gas construction safety are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor site health, safety, and environmental programs.
Conduct regular HSE inspections and workplace audits.
Ensure compliance with Petrofac HSE policies and client safety requirements.
Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
Review risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and method statements.
Monitor contractor safety performance and regulatory compliance.
Maintain HSE records, reports, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate emergency response drills and evacuation exercises.
Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.
