QA / Test Engineer

Job Description

The QA / Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software applications and digital solutions meet defined quality, functionality, performance, and reliability requirements. The role develops and executes testing strategies throughout the software development lifecycle. The engineer works closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and users to identify and resolve defects. The position also supports test automation and continuous improvement of software quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
Perform automated testing where appropriate using relevant testing frameworks.
Validate software against business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
Maintain test documentation and quality records.
Conduct regression testing following application changes and releases.
Support performance, usability, security, and compatibility testing where required.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA methodologies and testing processes.
