R&D Scientist – Battery Materials
Job Description
The R&D Scientist – Battery Materials is responsible for researching and developing advanced materials for rechargeable battery applications. The role focuses on material synthesis, characterization, performance evaluation, and optimization of battery-related materials. The scientist works closely with multidisciplinary R&D, engineering, and production teams to translate laboratory findings into scalable industrial solutions. The position also contributes to innovation projects aimed at improving battery performance, sustainability, safety, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and development activities for advanced battery materials and related technologies.
Design and execute laboratory experiments for material synthesis, modification, and optimization.
Characterize materials using appropriate physical, chemical, electrochemical, and analytical techniques.
Evaluate material performance against battery application requirements and technical specifications.
Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports, presentations, and research documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve material performance, durability, energy density, and manufacturing efficiency.
Collaborate with scientists, process engineers, technicians, and external research partners on development projects.
Support the scale-up and technology-transfer of promising laboratory processes toward pilot or industrial production.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure experiments comply with internal quality and safety procedures.
Contribute to intellectual property development, technical publications, and innovation initiatives where applicable.
