Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Specialist will help protect Telenor’s digital infrastructure, applications, networks, systems, and data from evolving cyber threats.
The role involves monitoring security environments, identifying vulnerabilities, investigating incidents, and implementing appropriate security controls.
The specialist will collaborate with IT, cloud, network, application, and compliance teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
The position will also contribute to security assessments, incident response, threat detection, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor security systems, networks, applications, and infrastructure for potential threats.
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and suspicious activities.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation of identified weaknesses.
Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and technical safeguards.
Analyze security logs, alerts, and events to identify potential security incidents.
Support threat intelligence, threat hunting, and security monitoring activities.
Work with infrastructure and application teams to implement secure configurations.
Assist with penetration testing, security assessments, and risk analysis.
Maintain cybersecurity documentation, incident records, and security reports.
Promote security awareness and support compliance with applicable security standards and regulations.
