Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production machinery, equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure reliable plant operations. The role performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across manufacturing areas. The technician responds quickly to equipment breakdowns and supports troubleshooting to minimize production downtime. The position also contributes to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and continuous maintenance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system faults.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore machinery to safe operating condition.
Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification of production equipment.
Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend reliability improvements.
Follow maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and lockout/tagout requirements.
Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Maintain appropriate spare parts, tools, and maintenance resources.
