Job Description

The Role

As an Assistant Front Office Manager, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by overseeing the day-to-day Front Office operation, maintaining hotel standards and maximizing guest satisfaction.

Planning and Organizing:

 

  • Assist in preparing the Front Office department budget.
  • Develop and execute training programs for all Front Office team members. Oversee regular employee training sessions and track their effectiveness, covering IT systems and guest-service protocols.
  • Be knowledgeable of the Property Management and Call Centre computer systems.

 

Operations:

 

  • Supervise the operations of all departmental employees, facilities, sales, and costs to achieve maximum departmental revenue.
  • Responsible for maximizing quality levels of product, personalized service, and exceeding guest expectation.
  • Maintain up-to-date departmental SOP’s/LSOP’s and make them accessible to all employees for reference, revision, and updates as needed.
  • Be a sales champion for the hotel, by creating and pursuing business referrals, potential sales leads and promotional initiatives to maximize revenue. Personally oversee and drive the upselling at the property.
  • Keep track and monitor the daily arrivals and address VIP or special requests promptly. Collaborate with housekeeping, room service, and guest relations as needed to fulfill requests.
  • Lead by example through a hands-on approach to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Offer coaching and counseling, along with support and guidance to the employees as needed.
  • Ensure the team members are up to date with current information and data of the hotel products, including room types, rates, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets & promotion, spa and health club, and other services and facilities.
  • Conduct regular room and floor inspections to ensure quality standards, complete necessary Engineering Job Order or housekeeping cleaning requests and monitor the results.
  • Offer aid to local representatives of tour operators and travel agencies.
  • Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.
