Switchgear Testing & QA Engineer

Job Description

The Switchgear Testing & QA Engineer is responsible for inspecting, testing, and validating electrical switchgear and control panels before delivery to customers. The role ensures all products comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The engineer performs electrical testing, prepares inspection reports, and works closely with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential for maintaining product reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and final testing of LV and MV switchgear panels.
Perform insulation resistance, continuity, functional, and dielectric tests.
Verify products against approved engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare detailed quality inspection and testing reports.
Investigate product defects and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, and customer-specific standards.
Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality concerns.
Monitor calibration status of testing equipment.
Participate in internal quality audits and process improvements.
Support customer inspections and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
