Site Civil Engineer

Job Description

The Site Civil Engineer at Petrofac Oman is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing civil construction activities for oil & gas, energy, and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all civil works are completed according to engineering drawings, project specifications, and international quality standards. The engineer works closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client representatives to maintain project schedules while ensuring safety and compliance. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and experience in EPC project environments.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise site civil construction activities in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Review engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation before execution.
Coordinate with structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control standards.
Manage subcontractors and monitor workforce productivity.
Identify technical issues and recommend effective engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and Petrofac safety procedures.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Participate in project meetings and coordinate with client representatives.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
Review project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
Ensure engineering activities comply with international codes and standards.
Conduct technical reviews and participate in design verification meetings.
Provide engineering support during project execution and site activities.
Resolve technical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.
Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
