Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Analyst monitors and protects organizational systems, networks, applications, and data against cybersecurity threats. The role involves security monitoring, incident investigation, vulnerability assessment, and implementation of security controls. The analyst works with IT and engineering teams to identify security risks and strengthen the organization’s security posture. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor security systems, logs, alerts, and network activity for threats.
Investigate suspected security incidents and potential breaches.
Analyze vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures.
Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls.
Conduct security assessments and risk analysis across IT environments.
Assist with incident response, containment, and recovery activities.
Monitor endpoint, network, cloud, and application security events.
Maintain security documentation, incident records, and investigation reports.
Collaborate with IT teams to improve security configurations and practices.
Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.
