Cybersecurity SOC Threat Incident Analyst

Job Description

Kernex Microsystems is seeking a Cybersecurity SOC Threat Incident Analyst to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats affecting enterprise and operational technology environments. The role involves analyzing security events, managing incidents, and improving threat detection capabilities. The successful candidate will work within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to safeguard critical infrastructure and sensitive business systems. This position requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with security monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor security alerts using SIEM and SOC monitoring platforms.
Investigate cybersecurity incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Respond to malware, phishing, ransomware, and network attacks.
Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments.
Escalate high-priority security incidents when necessary.
Document incident reports and response procedures.
Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security vulnerabilities.
Recommend improvements to cybersecurity monitoring and defense strategies.
