Job Description

Responsible for defining and leading the technical architecture of Ema’s AI platform, building scalable cloud-native systems, mentoring engineering teams, driving platform strategy, and ensuring reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities
Lead and build high-performing engineering teams across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, ML operations, and developer experience.
Define the technical architecture and engineering roadmap for the next 6–18 months.
Make critical architectural decisions involving cloud platforms, infrastructure, scalability, and technology adoption.
Collaborate with Product, AI/ML, and business teams to align engineering strategy with company goals.
Drive operational excellence, including incident management, reliability, capacity planning, and SLO tracking.
Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.
Required Skills
12+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong expertise in distributed systems and microservices.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong programming skills in Go and Python.
Experience designing scalable internal platforms and infrastructure.
Deep knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL, vector databases) and performance optimization.
Proven engineering leadership and team-building capabilities.
