Social Media Officer
Job Description
The incumbent will assist in effective management of the Social Media Unit of the Bank. The incumbent will be the Custodian of Social Media accounts and support in social media operations, maintaining the social media calendar, development of relevant creative and collaterals, publishing of Social Media content and report on insights – social media pages performance
Main Responsibilities
- Constantly update self on social media channel trends, best practices, creative platforms and recommend adequate suggestions/insights, as appropriate.
- Assist in gathering data/ Social Media analytics on competitive social media performance.
- Stay abreast of, and perform daily monitoring of media, government sectors, trending hashtags and handle keyword planning for the Social Media handles.
- Support in managing the social media community management brand metrics.
- Prepare and maintain the social media calendar, in line with strategic social media plan and tactical marketing & PR plans
- Assist the Senior Officer in development of relevant creative and compelling content and collaterals to reach bank customers based on social media calendar for marketing & PR.
- Assist in generating Engaging Content “Live, Reels, Videos, Repurposing Primary Campaign” by attending events and conferences and visiting Partners.
- Assist the Senior Officer in scheduling, posting and publishing of Social Media content, in line with technical operational framework.
Qualification, Experience & Skills Required
- University graduate with a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Journalism any other related discipline
- 05-08 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
- Experience in communications, social media / digital marketing or related field.
- Experience in planning, managing and executing successful social media campaigns.
- Experience in working with data visualization tools
- Interactive marketing and social media expertise
- Proficient with Google Analytics and other reporting tools/ media analytics platforms
- Proficient in capturing customer insights
