QA / Test Engineer

Job Description

The QA / Test Engineer will ensure that software applications meet functional, performance, reliability, and quality expectations before release. The role includes test planning, test execution, defect management, automation, and collaboration with software development teams. The engineer will help establish effective testing processes throughout the software development lifecycle. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of modern testing methodologies are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze functional and technical requirements to develop testing strategies.
Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
Perform API and database testing where required.
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
Participate in code and requirement reviews from a quality perspective.
Support performance, security, and usability testing activities.
Maintain test documentation and continuously improve QA processes.
