QA / Test Engineer

Job Description

The QA / Test Engineer will ensure that software applications meet defined functional, technical, performance, and quality requirements.
The role involves designing test strategies, creating test cases, executing tests, and identifying defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
The engineer will work closely with developers, business analysts, product teams, and project managers to resolve quality issues.
The position may involve both manual and automated testing across web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements to define appropriate testing approaches.
Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks where applicable.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
Perform API, database, UI, and end-to-end application testing.
Collaborate with developers and business teams to investigate and resolve defects.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality activities throughout each sprint.
Perform regression testing following software fixes, releases, and configuration changes.
Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and release-readiness assessments.
