• Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Report on Quality Control inspections. • Review the relevant Contractors and suppliers ITP's and procedures. • Ensure project documentation and record keeping in accordance with the procedures of the Inspection Quality Manual. • Liaise with customers / surveyors for conduct of inspection concluding acceptance or Deviation Permit/ Concessions request as required. • Organize and report the results of inspections or test. • Follow up on the implementation of decided action plans, or other mitigation plan issued. • Led discussions with clients, contractors, and internal management personal regarding various issues related to project specifications and project production. • Attend meeting regarding the work on the site and recommended any changes if required. • Responsible for making quality determinations and discrepancies of surface preparation and coatings on site. • Choose the extent of Inspection or test equipment. • Monitor all Inspection Equipment’s, Abrasives, Blasting Equipment’s, all properly tagged prior to commencement of painting /coating activities. • Conduct Blotter test to ensure compressed air comply with the requirement of blasting procedure. • Conduct surface profile assessment with active use of gauges and comparators. • Conduct surface contamination test measurement. • Monitor weather conditions i.e relative humidity, dew point and air temperature. • Monitor Grit blasting activities to comply with ISO/SSPC/NACE Standard. • Monitor coating activities in the work place. • Document and complete daily status reports of quality determinations and discrepancies. • Observe and enforce safety procedures and guidelines on daily basis. • Choose the inspection and test methods (where agreed procedures allow). • Conduct inspection of surface preparation and painting operations after fabrication and before erection at shop stage. • Perform and supervise test (i.e. Dolly, Holiday, Cross Cut, Pressure Sensitive Tape Test and Salt Contamination Test). • Conduct outside hull inspection of painting and rectification work after erection. • Conduct outside hull inspection of paint rectification work in dry dock after launching. • Manage Inspections as Per Inspection & Test Plan (ITP). • Manage and conduct surface preparation and coating inspections of fuel oil, cargo and water ballast tanks.
