Plan, schedule and execute Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities in alignment with project timelines and safety standards. Supervise and coordinate the Instrumentation Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of field tasks. Participate in instrument selection, installation and configuration based on process requirements to enhance automation and control system efficiency. Perform loop checking and verification to ensure signal integrity and correct fail-safe valve action. Calibrate and service various field instruments including pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters (both conventional and smart types). Repair, calibrate and functionally test different types of valves such as control valves, safety relief valves, ESD valves, motor-operated valves and choke valves. Calibrate and maintain gauges, flow meters and various switches (flow, level, pressure, temperature and limit switches). Conduct calibration, functional testing and servicing of fixed and portable gas detectors.

Performed both in-lab and on-site calibration of pressure instruments, including pressure gauges, compound gauges and differential pressure transmitters. Conducted precise calibration of temperature-related instruments such as RTDs, thermocouples, temperature transmitters, chillers, freezers, autoclaves and humidity sensors. Calibrated various electrical instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, voltmeters, ammeters, insulation testers, and temperature controllers. Conducted calibration and functional testing of flow meters to maintain measurement accuracy and process efficiency. Performed calibration of weighing balances and standard test weights in accordance with metrology standards. Inspected and conducted load testing on lifting equipment and platforms to ensure operational safety. Assisted in annual calibration projects for key clients, maintaining traceability and accurate documentation.

Executed instrumentation work across various industrial sites, ensuring compliance with project standards. Interpreted and implemented instrumentation drawings and specifications, including P&IDs, hook-up diagrams and cable schedules. Performed calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of field instruments such as transmitters, gauges, control valves and switches to maintain system reliability. Assisted in documentation and control of technical drawings and project records for instrumentation-related tasks. Operated GE-Fanuc 90-30 PLC and SCADA systems to support monitoring and control for automation processes.

Assisted in erection and pre-commissioning of field instruments for the BS-VI DHDT Unit at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Gujarat. Supported the Project Engineer in coordinating site activities and client communications. Supervised the installation, termination and testing of instruments such as temperature sensors and transmitters. Implemented cable tray routing, junction box installation and cable laying as per approved design layouts. Resolved field instrumentation issues and contributed to weekly project status reports.
