Site : Shaw Nass Pipe Fabrication, Bahrain Project : SCTS MODULE PIPING PROJECT Key Responsibilities • Inspecting, implementing procedures and compiling project documentation, weld/ NDE maps etc., to comply with project ITP. • Be responsible for the interaction with owner, agencies, subcontractors and internal departments on quality related matters including performance activities such as audits, program set up, program planning etc. QA/QCWelding Inspector (Welding/Piping/Structural) • Interaction and technical discussion with clients. • Carrying out routine in process inspection of overall welding activities. • Follow and maintain standards of Quality and Safety. • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well with people at all levels in the organization. • Conducting meeting to resolve the issues related to QA/QC with contractors and affiliates them. • Ensure company standards as outlined in Quality Control (Assurance) manual are effectively implemented. • Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance. • Planning assigning and monitoring the visual and dimensional inspectors for the inspection activities based on production unit request for timely completion of inspection activities. • Review of Material Test Certificates for Welding Consumables and performing material inspection as per project specification and relevant international standards. • Checking of pipe spool fabrication based on approved spool isometric drawing & bill of materials. Piping spools daily Fit-up & welding inspection reports and arranges the PWHT & NDE activities. • During inspection all phases of fabrication, during welding and after welding. • Visual inspection of welding during and after completion of weld. • Ensuring that all works are carried out as per IFC Drawings, project specifications and standards. Coordinate with client QC Inspectors for inspection. • Ensuring that all Piping and welding activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures and standards. • Physical verification of piping systems before and after welding. • Preparation of Test Packs individual system wise, which includes material certificates, welding history records, NDT reports, equipment & installation and alignment report, hydro test reports etc., and getting client’s approval. • Coordinating with the construction personnel to control the weld repair rate and preparing the tracking list. • Witnessing and Reviewing the PWHT activities and documents. Control welders and welding activities, conducting toolbox meeting with welders & welding supervisors. • Coordinate with Engineering Department for Technical Query

Inspection of welding consumables. • Maintaining the records of batch certificates of welding consumables, test certificates of welding machines, baking oven and holding oven, calibration certificates of pressure gauges and pressure recorders. • Inspected piping & structural fit-up. Ensured dimensional checks, welding visual inspection. • Inspecting the stages of welding at three stages before, during, after welding • Surveillances done of welding parameters such as preheat, inter-pass temperatures and preheat maintenance. • Prepared daily inspection reports. Issuance of NCRs for violations found. • Line check and re-Instatements done of piping system, punch listing prior to hydro testing and final acceptance of the client. • Documented of material, fit-up, visual, line check, hydrostatic and re-instatement reports. • Conducted PQR and welder qualification according to the standard and client specification, witnessed consumable batch test according to the specification and ensured fulfilment of all inspection and test requirements at all stages as per QCP and ITP. • Liaised with client site representative for day-to-day site activities inspection, coordinated with QC welding Supervisors, painting inspectors and NDT technician. Improving the welder’s skills and training the welders. • Preparation of monthly, weekly, daily work schedule. • Advising COMPANY on work improvement opportunities and potential cost savings.
