 Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and to ensure activity at the site as per approved method statement and inspection test plan (ITP).  Interacting with material controller for incoming inspection of steel plates, pipes & fittings consumables, tools and equipment’s etc. with relevant documents like material list certificates with 3.1, 3.2 certification and inspection Release Note.  Ensure proper storage of filler material and tolls & equipment to be used.  Check fit up, internal & external alignment of pipe v-groove etc.  Surveillance during shop & field welding to verify compliance with approved WPS, specific codes & client procedures of variables such as consumables, preheat, inter pass temperature control, inter run cleaning.  Perform visual inspection on weld joints.  Prepare the NDT request as per client’s requirement and co-ordination with NDT sub-contractors.  Prepare RFI &coordinate for completion of inspection with client as per ITP, code and standard & close out.  Coordinate with client representative and TPI for inspection.  Witness welding, welder qualification test and preparation of WQT data sheet.  Monitor & maintain calibration records of all instruments & equipment’s.  Ensure spool release notes are available from fabrication before surface preparation and painting activities starts.  Report to the QA/QC manager, control and monitor all activates related to quality.

 Review of material test certificate (MTC) as per codes, standards and client specification.  Review of welding procedure specification, welder certificate and identity cards as per the specification.  To check the fit up and root pass, hot pass and capping and make sure the joint number and welder number, drawing number are written on joint.  Monitoring all consumables, their heating procedure as client specification & standard.  Fit up inspection, weld visual, material verification as per drawings.  Witness bevel and root weld preparations and root DPT.  Visual inspection and surveillance of welding parameters as per the approved WPS and ITP.  Monitoring portable oven, holding oven, mother over, as per required time intervals.  Monitoring & verifying the preheat, inter pass temperature as per client requirement.  Post welding visual inspection and weld repair verification.

 Inspection of fit up, welding and consumables s per the client requirements.  Conducting of calibration of all welding equipment’s and maintaining the documentation.  Inspection of materials necessary for installation as per standards.  To carryout stages wise inspection and final inspection in fabrication and site erection.  Spool released documents preparation and offering client inspection.  Ensure that installed piping components conform to approved isometric and project Specification.  Coordination with the NDT crew.  Offering and coordinating the client inspection.  Inspection of material verification and PMI.  To supervise daily inspection of fabrication workshop and erection of the same site.  Ensure employee are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
