ELV Estimation Engineer
Job Description
The ELV Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate technical and commercial estimates for ELV and low-voltage system projects.
The role involves reviewing tender documents, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and project requirements to determine material and installation costs.
The engineer coordinates with suppliers, subcontractors, sales teams, and project engineers to obtain competitive pricing and technical information.
The position supports the preparation of professional quotations and tender submissions while ensuring compliance with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Review ELV tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for ELV equipment and installation materials.
Estimate costs for CCTV, access control, BMS, structured cabling, and other ELV systems.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets.
Develop accurate material, labor, installation, and subcontracting cost estimates.
Identify project exclusions, assumptions, risks, and commercial requirements.
Coordinate with engineering teams to verify technical solutions and system requirements.
Prepare BOQs, pricing schedules, quotations, and tender documentation.
Support tender negotiations and provide technical clarification when required.
Maintain estimation databases and update material and supplier pricing information.
